Its been a successful month for Watkins Racing with Stable stars Macroy and Fred Dag picking up wins in town.  The mare Wanted Desire who has had her run of bad luck over the last couple of campaigns broke through for a win at Ascot on Wednesday along with paddock mate Rose Thief – who is a half sister to El Presidente by Dick Turpin.  It was wonderful to see the all cerise colours of Mary Gracie past the post first.  The two mares combined for a double which brought much joy to the team.

War Anthem (2016 MM purchase) had his first start for a second at Narrogin and shows great promise.

Bruce attended the MM yearling sales along with seasoned stud master Barry Shade – who managed Fairfields stud for many years.  Bruce and Barry have a great knack of finding those horses that are perhaps late foals so not as big as others – but well bred and with good conformation – for a good price!.  This year was no exception with two fillies coming home.  There are limited shares available in both fillies.
