KERRIFIC THRIVING IN HIS NEW LIFE
Jan 28, 2015
Group winner Kerrific (Billy) was retired late last year due to a minor tendon injury after winning over $600,000 in his racing career, including the Belmont Sprint, Grandstand Cup and the RJ Peters. Kerrific was also a gallant 4th in the 2013 Railway Stakes.
Much loved here, he was retired to our spelling paddocks for 4 months to recuperate before long time staff member Audrey Hanley took him on as a prospective eventer. He is really enjoying his new life and taking to the work well.
At Watkins racing we always try to rehome our retired race horses and we love following them in their new careers.
